I can't get back into exercising. Work is atrocious again (ok when is it not). We had another office help us but they've stopped now so once again the minute relief we had is gone. I'm trying so hard not to do OT but that just makes me get more and more behind. It's so stressful that I'm exhausted by the time I get home. Sometimes I think mental exhaustion is worse than physical exhaustion. I do take the dog out every day - 45 min - hr. Trying to take him to the dog park everyday. I don't count that as APs though.

On a positive note I ate a ton at lunch yesterday but I tracked and stuck to my guns and only had to use 5 flex. I had that progresso light soup that's only 1 point per serving - ugh that was crappy - never again. But I didn't really get hunger pains until I was going to bed and of course I don't eat before bed anymore. I wonder - if I'm not able to get into an exercise routine - am I going to continue to lose weight just by staying within my points?

My weight does keep going down....

Picking up my bride's maid dress for one of my best friend's weddings in October on Saturday. That will be interesting. My goal is 180 for the wedding. If I keep on my current path I might even lose more than that.

I had a lil issue with candy yesterday - had 2 candy bars. I know I went over my points slightly but once again I didn't snack after dinner. I also didn't run. I could have. I had time. Once I took a little nap I was feeling better. Instead I stayed in all day (after I took the pup to the dog park). I'm feeling as though I'm lacking in motivation, not sure why.

I read in Shape magazine (seriously my subscription should have ended earlier this year but they keep sending me the magazine) that you shouldn't use 'should' when you're talking about things. Like instea of saying I 'should' run today you should say I 'want to' run today. Reason being is that should implise that it's a demand on you and want is a choice.

I want to run today.
I want to start running in the morning a few times a week.

Yeah not really successful at dinner last night. Ate bad food. Drank lots of wine (after dinner). Used all my flex and probably a bit over. Ugh now I know why I don't drink that often. I got drunk as a skunk. Am hung over and so hungry today. I ate breakfast and it doesn't even feel like I put anything into myself. At least I got my drinking out of me for awhile. Saw a gain this morning but that is to be expected but it wasn't too bad really. I am proud of myself that I did not eat anything else after dinner which is an amazing thing since alcohol = must eat food! I'd like to get a run in today - we'll see - right now it's off to the dog park and then a nap and then lots of cleaning.

Will stay within my points today and tomorrow.

Wow I can't believe this morning's weigh in. I thought for sure with all the indian food I had yesterday I would show a gain, not a loss (especially since I haven't really exercised much this week). That not snacking after dinner is really working out well - and tracking everything I put into my mouth - and not abusing my flex points.

I'm eating out twice today, but am for sure having a nice yummy salad for lunch and depending on where/if I go out for dinner I'm going to try and have a salad as well. Tonight is girl's night out. Not sure what all is going on in the evening so it's going to be a plan as I go thing. I have faith in myself.

Well lunch didn't work out as planned. I met hubby and the place we were going to was PACKED. He obviously has a time constraint being on lunch break from work so we went to another place and got pre-made wraps. They have homemade potato chips with it but I only ate a few. OK now I'm a little more worried about tonight, but I'm going to try my best. With flex points I have 18 total left for the day. It's going to rain all night (already started) so I don't think I'll get a run in (man I want my own treadmill - I might have to join one of those 24/7 gyms so I can have treadmill access this winter). Good thing is that hubby works all day/night tomorrow bartending so I'll be on my own with eating and will be able to stay within points and then I work Sunday so that will be an easy day too.

It's Thursday and I still have 29 Flex left - phenomenal! I made a pretty big life style change this week and I think that's what has made a big difference. I knew it would help, I've known for a long time it was one of the things that hampered my weight loss, it was pretty hard to make the change but once I decided and stuck to my guns, the benefits are worth it.
Going out to an India buffet for lunch today. I'm sure flex points will be used, but that is what they are for and I enjoy going out to lunch once in awhile with my co-workers.

This week is going much better, so far. I've used a few more flex points already then I really wanted to but I still have quite a few left. I'm not snacking after dinner anymore - this really helps.
I was going to run yesterday but it was raining all evening and I had the worst stomach ache ever. I was super bloated too. Not sure what was going on but I feel better this morning. I really want to get out there and run this evening.
I really need to work on eating more vegetables. I just don't like a lot of them.

Hubby is not allowed to pick out the bread anymore - 4 points for 2 pieces :( Now I can only have 1 piece with anything I make - that really cuts down on the quality of my sandwiches and I love sandwiches.

Epic failure this weekend. Major stress/emotional eating because I was at my mom's this weekend. Why do I let myself lose control like that? Why do I have such a strong response to being around her? I actually made ok meal choices but then would follow it up with dessert every single time. I frustrated myself so much. My behavior was really unacceptable.
I'm thankful for the little amount I did lose.

Not doing so well this week. Went out to eat dinner last night - total surprise - unplanned. I ate pretty good but then I came home and cleared out all of my flex. So now I have 4 more days with no flex points and I'm going to my mom's this weekend. I still have't run this week as I've been busy every single evening. Hoping for a run tonight, tomorrow morning and Saturday morning. I feel like a slacker this week and don't expect great results. Gah why can't I stop this stupid snacking??

This week is going to be rough. I'm working about an hour and a half extra pretty much every day this week (about 7 am - 5:30 pm). It's my choice but I need to do it to try an get caught up on my back log of work. I resisted OT for quite a few weeks but I'm getting too stressed out during the day with everything that keeps falling in my lap to deal with (it's not really OT since I'm salaried though - lovely - just working over my scheduled hours).

I felt like I went all day yesterday and then just crashed and burned in bed. Good thing about it was that I didn't snack after dinner at all. Bad thing was that I had so much going on I wasn't able to fit a run in (I would have had time in the late evening but it was dark out and while I'm ok to walk around our neighborhood during the day I don't like to be out there by myself after dark). I'm having to concentrate more on my dog right now because he's starting to act out since he's so bored during the day. Right now getting him on walks and out to the dog park is more important than my running. If I can fit a few runs in this week and behave with my points I should be ok in the end.

In general 4 lbs is an excellent loss for one week, but I have to say personally I am very disappointed in myself because had I stuck strictly to my points I know I would have lost more. Last night I was cocky and thought I'll just have a few snacks and it will be fine. A few healthy snacks turned into a candy bar, graham crackers and peanut butter. Granted I didn't eat too much of it, but it was still enough to shoot my weight back up over night. So I'm upset and disappointed in myself that I basically sabatoged myself. I could have had a 8 - 9 lb loss had I just stuck to plan, but I didn't. I can't go back and change my actions, I can only learn from them.

My only goal this week (aside from just generally following plan) is to not exceed my flex points. This is doable!

I think the weight gain is from water retention. I was SO bloated last night. Must have had a lot of salt between the two curries I had yesterday. That's ok, I'm still happy with how things are going.

I wanted chocolate cupcakes like nothing else from the vending machine at work today. I put my money in and found out I was a quarter short. So I took my money back and walked away. Thank goodness something intervened during my moment of weakness!

2nd weekend day that I've gotten up and did things right away, go me! Went to the dog park with Marcia this morning and then I went on a 40 minute run. I ran the first 15 minutes of my run without stopping - awesome. I think in a few weeks I should be able to run a full 30 minutes straight.

I rebounded from Wednesday quite nicely yesterday. The only down side was that I didn't get a run in, but I'm pretty proud of myself for running right away this morning. Friday and Saturday are my days off and I usually don't do anything but lay around so today has started out real nice. We're grilling steaks tonight. I love grilling out!

Today's big goal is to not graze during the day. I have a bad habit of doing that on my days off, well actually in general, but even more so when I have the whole day off.

So I went grocery shopping and as soon as I got home I divided up my trigger foods into point friendly servings. I did this with the special cookies, some almonds and the bing cherries. I'm pretty proud of this. Getting back into the pre-planning that had me so successful and weight loss the first time around.

Going over my points and excess flex points by having the s'mores tonight, but we're cooking out and we just HAVE to have s'mores. I'm tracking though! And I'm going for a run again tomorrow morning.


What's everyone's take on eating all of the AP you earn in a day or only eating 4 in a day???

Fail. Ugh I ate all my flex points last night, cleaned them out. And the reason why? I couldn't fall asleep so I stayed up watching tv and just snacked - that's my only excuse. Of course this morning I woke up feeling like total ick. Now I have to be very strict with myself over the 3 days which just happens to be the weekend. It will be kind of hard because my husband is actually off all weekend so I'm sure there will be eating out. I'm restricting myself to either salads (without the extra junk and salad dressings) and grilled fish, if we do go out.
Bagels were brought in this morning and I kindly declined at least. In fact I don't even crave them - probably cause I still feel like ick from all my eating last night. Also I didn't run last night and I feel bad about that but I don't want to hurt myself exercising too much too soon. I will run tonight.
I just need to concentrate on today and making the best choices so I stay within my points.

I REALLY need to find some easy low point dinner ideas for us. Not having plans for dinner is what gets me too because I graze instead of eating a planned meal.
